Join our foundation dog massage course to give you the tools in both evaluating and treating dogs the right way.  This workshop has been designed to teach individuals on how to assess, evaluate and provide a Soft Tissue Mobilization (STM), or massage treatment to canine’s safely and successfully.

Who is this course for?

There are no prerequisites for this course however a background in the animal industry or Massage is an advantage. This course is designed to enable participants on completion; the foundations to massage dogs the right way, safely and successfully.


3.5 hours

BYO dog with a vaccination certificate as it is mandatory by the venue.

Evaluation & Assessment:

Learn the importance of anatomy, structure, and confirmation before treating your dogs; recognise subtle abnormalities in the dog’s movement, earlier, to provide therapeutic benefit and treat injuries before they worsen.

Participants gain hands-on practical experience with their dogs.

Treatment – What, When, Why, Where, & How

Learn the six most-used dog massage techniques to take home and use safely and effectively on your dogs.  Such as:

  • What type of technique to use;
  • When the technique is most useful;
  • Why the technique will have the best effect on your canine;
  • Where on the body the technique should be performed; and lastly
  • How to perform the technique

Hands-On Demonstration and Practical Exercise

A demonstration, showing dog massage techniques, effects, and methods, with plenty of practical exercises throughout the workshop, enabling participants to practice skills learned.
